Transport for Wales is looking for new Non-Executive Directors to join its Board and help drive forward the Welsh Government’s vision of a high-quality, safe, integrated, affordable, and accessible transport network that the people of Wales are proud of.

Transport for Wales was established as a Welsh Government owned company to change the way Wales travels, making sustainable travel a natural choice for Welsh commuters.

It is working to encourage the people of Wales to commit to changing their behaviour, travelling more sustainably. The multimodal, integrated transport network it’s building will enable people to do this. Whether it’s public transport, walking, wheeling or cycling, Transport for Wales wants to make sustainable travel not only the right thing to do, but also an easier thing to do.

The organisation is looking for individuals with expertise in the following areas:

  • Commercial and Customer: Individuals with Executive or Board level experience in a competitive commercial environment and a track record of developing and implementing business growth strategies.
  • People and Culture: Professionals with experience of shaping organisational culture and evaluating company structure and design, to achieve business goals.
  • Multi-Modal Transport: Candidates who are able to demonstrate senior leadership experience within integrated public transport networks.

The successful candidates will report to the Chair of Transport for Wales and provide independent oversight and constructive challenge to the organisation’s Executive Directors.

For an informal discussion and a copy of the Candidate Pack, please contact the Goodson Thomas team on 029 2167 4422 or info@goodsonthomas.com
