Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust is looking to appoint a new Director of People to be a visible, vibrant leader within the organisation, providing professional leadership and accountability for the wellbeing of all staff across the Trust. They will play a significant leadership role in creating a workplace where everyone, whatever their background and role, feels safe and supported, valued, listened to, empowered and involved.

Over the last two decades, the Trust has evolved to become one of the most clinically advanced ambulance services in the world, with a focus on providing all their patients with high quality care and service.

They are at the forefront of innovation in unplanned clinical care. The organisation’s services are focused on unscheduled care, planned non-emergency patient transport and telephone & online advice.

The Director of People will lead the development and delivery of the Trust’s Workforce strategy and strategic enabling plans. The post holder will be responsible for leading and overseeing implementation of proactive, robust, timely recruitment and training plans designed to ensure a highly skilled, agile and available workforce ready to deliver excellent care to the population of Wales when needed.

The successful individual will be experienced in a senior workforce role in a complex environment and sector, proven experience of working and contributing at Board level, and be a Chartered Member or Fellow of the CIPD.
