Social Care Wales is looking for a Director of Transformation & Workforce Development to join its Executive Team, to provide strategic leadership to its workforce development, service improvement, research, data and innovation activities.

With a Wales-wide reach, Social Care Wales plays a crucial role in providing leadership and expertise in social care and early years services, working closely with partners and stakeholders to align with Welsh Government policies.

This role is a key opportunity to improve and develop the support available to social work, social care, early years and childcare services in Wales, and to ultimately improve care and support for individuals in Wales.

You will:

  • Possess senior management experience in social care and workforce development, along with the ability to work at a national level.
  • Be able to evidence significant systems leadership across the sector.
  • Excel in building relationships and have the ability to maintain strong sector partnerships.
  • Demonstrate a track record in developing and implementing organisational strategy as part of your role will be to lead the 10-year workforce strategy for Health and Social Care (in partnership with Health Education and Improvement Wales) and Ymlaen, the research, innovation, and improvement strategy for 2024-2029.
