Medr are seeking their first permanent Chief Executive Officer. As a new entity, Medr offers the right candidate the chance to shape its future and collaborate with its dedicated team to provide the leadership necessary for the tertiary education and research sector in Wales.

Its mission is to develop and sustain a world leading system of tertiary education, research, and innovation that enables students to thrive, transforms lives for the better, and supports social, economic, and environmental well-being and prosperity.

The Chief Executive will be responsible for overseeing £1 billion of investment and leading a team of 120 experts. The mission for this role is to secure a responsive and coherent system of tertiary education, skills, research, and innovation. In doing so, the Chief Executive will enable individuals from all backgrounds and throughout their lives to learn and flourish.

A background in education is not a prerequisite for this role, although a keen interest in the future of education is essential. We are seeking candidates with experience of working with the Welsh Government and leading complex organisations.
